Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She currently holds the position as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. Buss is the daughter of a California native who grew in a wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later she created the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President for the Lakers. Buss her father passed away in 2013 which is when the Lakers were acquired by Buss and her five siblings through the trust. Every sibling was entitled to equally many votes. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarter in Los Angeles.
