Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends soul gospel jazz and R&B in her signature blend. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Avery Sunshine has been a hit anywhere. Sunshine has been born Denise White. The singer hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her professional career performing on the piano as well as singing in church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B music scene. The Fighting Temptations The single with her voice on it,"Stalk You a House 12, came out only in Japan. It's been re-mixed several times, and is the mainstay of her live show. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
