Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first in Stanford University. After a few early roles, such as in Pleasantville as well as Election. The role she played as Elle Woods on the blockbuster Legally Blonde marked a pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award in the year 2005 for Walk the Line. Witherspoon made her debut in Nashville Tennessee in 1991 and answered the advertisement for extras in her local newspaper. Witherspoon was offered the leading role in her first feature film The Man in the Moon (1991) at just 14 years old. Her first year out of high school, Witherspoon thought about quitting acting and follow in the footsteps of her parents into the medical profession. She put off college for a time in order to concentrate on her acting career. At Stanford University she briefly studied English prior to returning to the job market. In the comedy The Invisible Man, 2003 she was the first actress to appear in a major feature film. After that, she appeared on a variety of TV shows like House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. In addition, she appeared as a character as a character in The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). As well as her profession as an actor, she is also a talented artist, who has exhibited her artwork in a variety of gallery.
